No female bronies?

One thing to consider is how bad American female-oriented cartoons really were. Lauren Faust:
I assigned my ponies and my Strawberry Shortcake dolls distinctive personalities and sent them on epic adventures to save the world. On TV, though, I couldn’t tell one girl character from another and they just had endless tea parties, giggled over nothing and defeated villains by either sharing with them or crying–which miraculously inspired the villain to turn nice.
I guess that "cartoons aren't for girls" was somewhat true.

Mezhyhirya, Ukraine; 2014-02-22

http://zyalt.livejournal.com/1007568.html

It was former private residence of Victor Yankukovych.

Protesters flood Yanukovych's residential home. Mezhyhirya is his private estate. The house was donated by the state and equipped by some sort Doneck foundation while he was Prime Minister responsible for industrial reform. Very suspicious.

You're a middle aged man, why are you a brony?

Likeable characters, the stories are mostly well written, the animation is pretty good, voice acting is very good, it is fun. I like the positive message Which resonate with me. Hell, before MLP I haven't even liked pink color.
BTW, I cannot explain where this resonance is coming from. I've watched plenty of anime, but I find the best anime less attractive than MLP. When I was few episodes into MLP it struck me that there was already animated series under this name in the 80s. It's mind boggling how much better Friendship is Magic really is.
P.S. In anime there are examples of different "mismatch" where non-violent, non-sexual series for adult men are accessible for little girls, like Ah! My Goddess.
tldr: Friendship is Magic
